After returning to Genoa from Italy and collecting my reward I came to find that there were rumors spreading of a pirate that had been roaming about here lately.  The guards were growing more leary of my appearance in town so without further thought I gathered my things emptied my warehouse and hidden stashes and left town.  Not sure of where to head next my crew and I plotted a course to Tripoli taking a few nights rest and relaxiation close to land my sailors decided to fish for there dinners for a change.  Hey Im not complaining its less I have to spend to keep them happy.  I on the other hand had more on my agenda then staying aboard ship and eating fish.  I decided to head into town to see the sites and sample the beef that this town is so famous for.  Personally I thought it could use some spices but all in all it wasnt bad.  I found the merchant guild leader of the city and decided to once again offer my services as a tradesman to accomplish the goals that this city has yet to....(at an extended fee of course).  After gaining his contract I decided to take a few days rest and relaxation so i wandered over to the local tavern.  Upon entering I was greated kindly by the owner of the establishment and offered a free drink.  Now Ive come to know that nothing in this world is free everything has its price.  Her price of course was company.  Let me get this straight I get the company of a lovely woman ( a buisiness woman with plenty of money no less) who owns the local tavern (wich means Im drinking for free for the rest of my stay here).  How could the pirate in me pass this up.

I told my crew of what was happening and they of course got a grand laugh out of this and asked that when I rejoined them aboard the ship that i bring a few barrels along for the journey.

I decided now that since my new ship was in full bloom and ready for the loving caress of the open seas that it was time to head back into the med.  As interesting as the trip was it was a bit dull without a single pirate captain showing there sails.  Sails!!!..... Thats what I was missing.  The sails on this ship were still plain in color.  I stopped off at one of my storage locations hidden of course, to check and see if anything was left.  With some luck I was able to find the right size of sails needed to place my own mark on them but there is still a few yards of canvas I need yet before I can clear of the drabness.  I decided since Genoa was still close by I would swing by and see if there was any silver to be had.  Unfortunetly it seemed that all the tight wads were tucked away in the safety of the guard protected homes.  The only one about with any money was a member of the merchant guild.  "Im going to have to play this one by ear" i thought to myself as I walked toward him.  I introduced myself as Marius of England, a very old alias that I had used in my days.  Thankfully he had never heard of me nor any of his cohorts near by.  Since I was in need of fast money I decided to do a few trade runs for the old man.  Who knows maybe I can somehow mark up the price on a few other things from here that i can take with me into Venice.  Along the west coast of italy I took a heading of due south and to my own luck but the misfortune of so many others I happened upon a wreckage drifter at sea.  The fires were still burning and the pirates black sails were disappearing into the distance.  As I have said before this was to my grand luck because amongst the silver and supplies that still floated on the oceans surface I was able to salvage several pieces of treasure map.  This should net me some wonderous fame and fortune upon finding that big beautiful X.

After arriving in Venice it was close to Carnival so I decided to hang about for awhile to see the sites and sample some of the wine women and song.  All free of course.  I suppose I shall take a break here for a few days to rest and resupply but I cant stay long for destiny awaites no one.

About VCO

http://www.voyagecenturyonline.com/

Around 1480 A.D., with the development of industry and commerce and the progress of ship building skill, countries in Asia and Europe began to realize the importance of the sea. Soon, countries on the Mediterranean coast started to explore their own sea route. Blue and deep sea was considered as the passage to the gold kingdom, waiting for men to explore. In late 17th century, for each of their own interest, countries in the west built new battleships, made up great fleets. And then ballets of large scale for sea hegemony started. Voyage Century explores this legendary period of seafaring adventure in a massively multiplayer online nautical game. Trade, craft, wage war around the world, even search for buried treasure, Voyage Century offers just about everything imaginable from the 16th century seafaring era.

After pilfering to my black hearts content around Athens, I decided it was time to leave town.  The guards here are beginning to spin the tales of a pirate captain who once ruthlessly sailed the seas in search of treasure, adventure and any ship that dared to cross its path.  Though these poor fools are a bit off on the tales it was truly amusing to know that even though my dear old ship now rests at the bottom of the sea it still warranted a grand tale over a mug of ale to any sailor who dare to listen.  The guards began to watch me with suspicion more and more as I would either correct them or tell them of the tales of Captain Invictuss and his ship the Devil Spawn or I would tell them of tales and adventures of which none had ever heard.  So I decided to take my leave from Athens in search of my fame and fortune once more.  Hoping to build on my past reputation I decided I would commandeer a small vessel from the docks in the middle of the night when none were around.

I sailed west toward Italy then North to Genoa once again using the tools of my trade around town to get what I needed most...Silver.....and as much as I could pilfer and carry back to a hiding place of my choosing.  Upon chance I happened upon a weary traveler who was heading for Seville.  He told me of how a band of pirates had sunk the transport ship he was on from Istanbul heading home.  He had managed some how to swim to Genoa's Shore where he was hoping to barter passage home.  Though he had no silver, treasure or even a small token trade what he offered me was that much better than anything I could have imagined.  This person had turned out to be the master ship builder from Seville.  He offered to build me the best ship he had ever built if I could only take him safely home to his family.  Now I'm not much of one for a tear jerker but the way he spoke of his family softened my black heart enough that I still offered to provide him with the materials for the ship.  At first he refused but I insisted that if this ship he had promised to build me was as great as he said it would be then the price would be but a few shillings out of my pocket.  Though the my current ship was not the best for this journey westward she faired very well dancing across the waves.  As we came to the straights of Gibraltar the crew began to show very odd signs and though my guest did not at first recognize what was happening, my years of experience caught it right away.... MUTINY.... So with muskets drawn on the would be pirates we forced them toward the starboard side of the ship and I assured there would be leader that he and his mates would either be going over board by there own accord or I would see to it that the fish would have small bits to eat.  At first they did not take me seriously and as there leader charged me my free hand went for my blade and in just a few quick strokes he was carved with the precision of a master chef.  Seeing this the others dove overboard and as we sailed off I could still see the looks of terror on there face.  I wiped the blood from my blade watching it as the failing light glistened across the cold steel.  I suppose that even as a bird never forgets how to fly a pirate captain never forgets how to use his blade or get his POINT across.  The rest of the journey was long but we pulled into Seville's port without another problem.  Immediately after my guest had spent time with his family he set to work on building my new ship.  I spent some time wondering about Seville gaining information, especially war related that I felt would be of some worth to the portugeese king in Lisbon as well as the queen of England.  After a few months of waiting she was finally ready as I walked to the docks to see her for the first time my breath was taken away by her beauty.  She may not have been my true love now resting at oceans bottom but she was beautiful and well suited for battle and trade routes alike.  I named her the Fallen Angel and bid my farewells and set off for my next grand adventure.
